As part of the Zoo Interchange project, a large storm-water drainage structure will be constructed under 1-94 EastlWest, crossing under 84th Street, and continuing underneath Kearney Street.
On October 12, 2013 Kearney Street will be closing until July 27, 2014. Motorists are advised to use 84th Street, Greenfield Avenue and 70th Street to get around the closure.
The 1-94 Eastbound and Westbound entrance ramps at 84th Street will also be closing October 12, 2013 until late Summer 2014. To travel east on 1-94, motorists are advised to use the 68th Street 1-94 Eastbound entrance ramp. To travel west on 1-94, motorists are
advised to take 84th Street north to Bluemound Road west to 97th Street, north to Wisconsin Avenue entrance to US 45 South or continue west on Bluemound Road to WIS 100 South to 1 94 West entrance.
Alternatively, motorists can take 84th Street south to Greenfield Avenue to 1-894.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING CONSTRUCTION
Some construction activities are likely to create noise and/or dust, and some work may be conducted at night during the course of the project.
