WELCOME TO CAMP!


The outdoor program is one of the most appealing features of Scouting and is a great experience for Scouts and adults alike. Come along and enjoy swimming, archery, craft skills and more as your Scouts explore the great outdoors!
 
Camp Oh-Da-Ko-Ta and Indian Mound Scout Reservation have some truly exciting new features and we can’t wait for you to experience them with us. Traditional day, weekend and resident camps are available, but as an added bonus, we are offering plenty of specialty camps to appeal to the interests of almost any Cub Scout!
 

Notes for All Camps

 
Adult supervision is required at all of our summer camp sessions. See each camp's description for specific supervision requirements.

Day Camps

 

Register - Camp Oh-Da-Ko-Ta:

              
Day camp is the perfect way for your Scout, den or pack to play and stay active throughout the summer! All Tigers, Wolves, Bears, Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts may attend day camp.
 
In addition to looking forward to such favorites as BB guns, archery and swimming, Scouts attending day camp will learn what it means to be a hero and use their newfound knowledge to impact the world around them. Scouts will participate in activities and adventures that feature a “Building Heroes” theme and engage their senses in a way that creates an experience of a lifetime. A great time will be had by all attending day camp, so sign up today! Den leaders: we encourage you to bring your entire den to camp. Make sure to have your den flags and cheers ready!
 

Who can Attend?

Day camps are open to registered Cub Scouts only; siblings may not attend day camps.

Adult Supervision Requirements:

Adult supervision is required for each unit. Each grade level must have at least one adult leader, with a minimum of two adult leaders attending from each unit. Additional adults are welcome and encouraged!
 

Schedule:

Check-in: 8:15 a.m. - 8:55 a.m. each morning. Program runs 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
 

Meals:

Lunch will be provided each day of camp. 
 
Fees:
  • Scouts: $175.00
  • By May 15, 2017: $160.00
  • Adults: $20.00 (or $5.00 per day)
  • Scout fee includes a patch, camp t-shirt, lunches and program materials. Adult fee includes lunch.

Busing:

Busing is available to bring Scouts and leaders to and from camp each day. Bus fees are $25.00 per person per session.
 

Family Camps

Explore new opportunities at Scout camp this summer with a "Knights of Sherwood Forest" theme at weekend camp! Weekend camps are a great way for Tigers, Wolves, Bears, Webelos or Arrow of Light Scouts and their families to get into the outdoors, have a blast and spend time together! Weekend camps begin Friday night and extend through Sunday morning and are open to the whole family! Knights and their parents (knights-in-training) can shoot archery and BB guns, play medieval games, and even test their engineering skills!
 
Weekend camps will offer some advancement, a safe and comfortable camping experience for the whole family and a camp-wide campfire. Activities offered at resident camp will not be duplicated at weekend camp!
 

Who can Attend?

Weekend camps are open to the entire family! At least one member of the group must be a currently-registered Cub Scout.

Adult Supervision Requirements:

From the Guide to Safe Scouting: Each youth member will be under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. In special circumstances, a Cub Scout whose parent or legal guardian is not able to attend an overnight camping trip may participate under the supervision of another registered adult member of the BSA who is a parent of a Cub Scout who is also attending. The unit leader and a parent or legal guardian must agree to the arrangement, and all Youth Protection policies apply. At no time may another adult accept responsibility for more than one additional “nonfamily member” youth.

Resident Camp

Resident camp at Indian Mound Scout Reservation is a great experience to involve Cub Scouts in a four-day, three-night camp experience with an "Adventure World" theme. Wolves, Bears, Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts will be able to take advantage of all Indian Mound Scout Reservation has to offer during the day and night! Scouts and their parents will have a great time swimming and reaching their mark at three different shooting stations.
 
Scouts will be encouraged to take part in starring in their own campfire skits or songs at the camp-wide campfire, competing against other Scouts in camp-wide games, working on their Scout skills and completing great crafts to remember their resident camp experience in style! Arrow of Light Scouts will receive a specialized overnight outpost program during the final evening where they will get their first glimpse into what it is like to live like a Boy Scout! Advancement and FUN will be offered. Activities offered at weekend camp will not be duplicated at resident camp!
 

 

Who can Attend?

Day camps are open to registered Wolf, Bear, Webelos and Arrow of Light Cub Scouts only; siblings may not attend resident camps.
 

Adult Supervision Requirements:

Each unit must have a minimum of two leaders, with at least one leader for each grade level
 
National Standard: The minimum leadership requirements for any Cub Scout unit attending resident camp is a ratio of two adults to a maximum of eight boys and one additional adult for each four boys (or part thereof).
 

Schedule:

Check-in runs from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. day one. Check-out runs from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. day four.
 

Meals:

Meals will be provided, including a cracker barrel on day one, all meals on days two and three and breakfast on day four.
 

Fees:

  • $190.00 per Scout; $180.00 by May 15, 2017
  • $65.00 per Adult
  • Scout fee includes a patch, meals and program materials; adult fee includes meals
 

Resident Camp Information Meeting:

All parents and leaders who have Scouts attending resident camp are encouraged to attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, May 17, 2017. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Milwaukee Scout Service Center. At the parents’/leaders’ meeting, information will be shared about the resident camp program and the Arrow of Light outpost. Camp managers will be available to answer questions.

Besides our traditional day camps, weekend family camps and resident camps, we’ve got a ton of exciting programs to offer! For 2017, we have special day and overnight programs to appeal to any Scout’s interests. All programs will be staffed by the same highly-qualified staff who lead our traditional day camps and overnight events.

Family Game Night Details:

STEM Weekend Camp

Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics. Give your Scouts the opportunity to experience STEM like never before with a weekend of STEM fun! STEM weekend camp is for registered Scouts and parents only.

Trailblazer Day

Shooting sports are a favorite, no matter what age. Trailblazer day gives your Scouts the opportunity to improve their shooting skills in the perfect camp setting!
 

Trailblazer Day Details:

  • Open to registered Cub Scouts and parents; no siblings
  • $50.00per Scout; $45.00 by May 15, 2017
    • Includes patch, lunch and program materials
  • $5.00 per adult; includes lunch
  • Check-in 8:15 a.m. - 8:55 a.m. Program ends at 4:00 p.m.

Water Fun Weekend Camp
